How to extract audio from FLV (flash video) files
FLV, or Flash video files, are everywhere these days. Sometimes people will download an FLV file and want to extract the audio from it, as an MP3 or WAV file for instance. All you need to do this is a brilliant tiny little free piece of software.
In fact it actually extracts the video from the FLV file as well, though usually not in an instantly usable form - but I'm focusing on the audio extraction here.
Download FLV Extract (from moitah.net)
This includes both the binary file (the exe which IS the extraction program), and also a folder containing all the source files - you won't need to bother touching the source).
Just run FLVExtract.exe and drop your FLV video file onto the little popup application window. Done. Audio and video should have now been extracted from your flash video file.
