NetMD Minidisc software that doesn't suck

Alright alright, I'll admit it, I don't own an iPod! In actual fact I haven't bothered upgrading from my old Sony NetMD Minidisc MZ-N1 player that I bought probably around 2002.

That said, I had definitely stopped using it much over the years due to the useless OpenMG software that Sony supplied with it. (The letters O M G are capitalized by Sony, and so very appropriately). OpenMG Jukebox crashed all the time, and was slow and basically terrible to try and use on a regular basis.

The other day I had a search around and found a reasonable replacement. I run Windows XP and so didn't want to move to the latest Sony SonicStage 4.3 version which includes a whole bunch of Vista bloat, so instead I tracked down a full (non web) installer and drivers for SonicStage 4.2

Sony SonicStage 4.2 Full Installer

Compatible NetMD drivers

Installing these two things means I can now easily transfer a bunch of MP3s onto my NetMD without wrestling with crappy software and/or crashing my computer! If there are any other NetMD owners out there searching for a similar thing, enjoy!
